FAQs
Are you accepting insurance?
Yes, please see the list above.
However, insurance coverage can vary widely, even within the same company. It is your responsibility to confirm that your specific plan covers care at Progress Weight Management. Having insurance does not guarantee payment.
To avoid unexpected charges, call the member services number on the back of your insurance card before booking. Our clinic cannot verify your benefits for you.
What happens if my insurance doesn’t cover the visit?
If your insurance doesn't cover your visit — whether due to being out-of-network, benefit limitations, or a high deductible — you are responsible for the full cost of the appointment.
While our team can help you understand the bill you received, we are not able to explain why your insurance didn’t pay. That information can only come from your insurance provider.
Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card before booking to ask:
Is Progress Weight Management in-network?
What is my deductible and how much of it has been met?
Will I owe any out-of-pocket costs for this visit?
Patients are responsible for confirming their own insurance benefits before scheduling. Unpaid balances may be subject to collections.
Do you accept FSA/HSA?
Services may be eligible for FSA/HSA reimbursement. Check with your FSA/HSA provider for eligibility requirements. You can pay with an HSA or FSA card.
How does self-pay work?
If you are NOT covered by insurance, you will be considered a cash-pay patient. Payment for your appointment will be collected your visit.
What are the self-pay appointment fees?
The first appointment with Progress Weight Management is $375. This includes an initial 1 hour visit with a medical provider as well as a 30 minute visit with a Registered Dietitian to be booked within 30 days of your visit with your medical provider.
Dietitian self-pay is $300 for the first 1-hour visit and $150 for 30-minute follow ups.
Does the visit fee cover my medications?
No, Your medications are NOT covered by your visit fee. Any prescriptions written at Progress will be sent to your pharmacy where you will pick them up and pay any balance not covered by your prescription insurance.
Do I need a referral for my visit?
No! Anyone can schedule a visit with any of our providers without a referral.
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your initial appointment is scheduled for approximately one hour. Upon arrival and check-in, we'll utilize our SECA machine to gather your biometric data, including height, weight, and body mass. Following this, your blood pressure will be measured in your designated appointment room.
When your provider joins you, the session will include:
Reviewing Your Medications
Discussing Your Medical History
Exploring Your Health Goals
Assessing Past Strategies and Their Efficacy
Crafting a Personalized Plan with Your Provider
Exploring Any Potential Prescriptions
Addressing Concerns You Might Have
Scheduling Your Follow-Up Appointment
Rest assured, our comprehensive approach ensures that your first visit sets the stage for your journey towards achieving your health objectives.
What do I need for my first visit?
Please bring your insurance card so we can scan it into your file. Prior to your first appointment, you will be sent an email to create your patient portal. Once you have set up your patient portal, you will complete the check-in questions so your provider can be prepared for your appointment. All instructions will be emailed to you after you book your consultation.
What medications do you prescribe?
Your provider will choose the best medication for you based on your medical history, biology, and what your insurance covers. They may suggest medication such as:
Semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic, and Rybelsus)
Tirzepatide (Mounjaro and Zepbound)
Liraglutide (Saxenda and Victoza)
Dulaglutide (Trulicity)
Metformin
Contrave

Every patient’s success is a unique journey. If your current treatment isn't doing the trick, chat with your provider about alternative options.
What other services do you offer?
We have a registered dietitian on staff who can help you meet your goals by providing guidance on nutrition and healthy eating habits. Your provider can set up an appointment with the dietitian or you can schedule that independently from a weight management consult.
